Thirteen-year-old Jordynn West recently brought smiles to the faces of some Bahamian youth track and field athletes.
West, who recently ran 4:59.19 to win the U15 girls’ 1500m race at the Basil O. Neymour Memorial Track and Field Classic on 15th February, donated track and field footwear.
The youngster from Dallas, Texas donated to the youth and junior athletes in Grand Bahama.

Jordynn is very passionate about Grand Bahama and looking forward to returning in early June to spend time with the youths. She will also compete at the Neymour’s Athletic Club Invitational 6th June.
Jordynn also presented Deputy Prime Minister Hon. P. Kevin Turnquest with a signed copy of Youth Runner Magazine.
The magazine featured Jordynn, who also writes a weekly blog on the Youth Runner website.

It’s her 5th year running track, and she has excelled in distance events. She’s an AAU National Champion and All American in events, the more popular 800m and 1500m.
