Shericka Jackson thankful for 2019 season

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica’s quarter-miler Shericka Jackson has expressed satisfaction with her 2019 season.

“Magnificent 2019” was how she described the year in a social media post.

Jackson won three medals at the Doha 2019 World Championships in Qatar.
She listed her main accomplishments as National champion (PB); PanAm Champion; London Diamond League (winner); World Champs: – Bronze (400m, 49.47 PB) & 4x400m) and Gold(4x100m).

RJRGleaner Sports Foundation Sportswoman of the Rear Runners-Up was among the achievements of 2019 for the former Vere student.

“Who could it be but God!!,” continued her post.

“Grateful for the support. Shoutout to my day one supporter, I appreciate you all,” concluded the message by Jackson with smiley emojis.

Deandre Whitehorne, Jackson’s former teammate at Vere, commented: “Congrats on all your achievements… Keep striving and be the versions of yourself at all times.”

The 25-year-old won 400m bronze medals at the Beijing 2015 World Championships and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. On both occasions, she helped Jamaica 4x400m teams to victory in Beijing and silver in Rio.
