Kemoy Campbell taken to hospital after collapsing at Millrose Games

Kemoy Campbell was rushed to a hospital after collapsing while competing at the Millrose Games in New York on Saturday (9 Feb).

Campbell, who was acting as the pace-setter during the sixth lap of the men’s 3,000m, fell off the banked track into the infield near where the men’s shot put competition was underway.

The 28-year-old did not immediately respond to contact from nearby personnel.

Police and paramedics soon arrived and reportedly had to use a defibrillator on his unconscious body. He was revived and taken to a nearby hospital.
Aisha Praught Leer, Campbell’s Jamaican teammate, wrote on her twitter.
I saw @RayPFlynn in the hotel lobby. He says Kemoy’s CT scan and echocardiogram were clear. That’s all I know for now.”
