Adam Gemili, the 2014 European 200m champion, did not have the best journey to the German capital, Berlin.
Gemili, a member of Great Britain 4x100m team’s that won the 2017 World Championships, spoke of his situation on Twitter.
“I waited 4 days for my missing baggage to show up in Berlin for me to open my suitcase and find out it had been completely ransacked. Everything of value has been taken. I feel violated”.

Gemili won the 100m gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Barcelona. Gemili won his first senior medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. He ran 10.10 for second behind Jamaica’s Kemar Bailey-Cole.
