Burchell clocks 7.13 to win in France

MONDEVILLE, France – Former NCAA champion, Jamaican Remona Burchell, set a big season’s best of 7.13 to beat Portugal’s Lorene Bazolo (7.27) in the women’s 60m at Meeting de Mondeville in France.

Christophe Lemaitre stopped the clock at 6.58 (faster 6.57 in heats) to win the men’s 60m from Sean Safo-Antwi (6.65) with Jimmy Vicaut, third in 6.66.

After a midweek world-lead of 7.47 in Reims, Jarret Eaton won the 60m hurdles again, this time in 7.54 ahead of Canada’s Jonathan Cabral (7.62) and Saudi Arabian Ahmad Al-Moualed 7.64 (national record 7.57 in heats).

Ukraine’s Hanna Plotitsyna won a tight women’s 60m hurdles final in 8.16 (8.12 in heat) from the United States’ Jade Barber (8.16).

Poland´s Ida Baumgart won the 400m in 53.56.
