LONDON – Novlene Williams-Mills and Shericka Jackson have been added to Jamaica’s team for the final of the women’s 4x400m.
The event, the penultimate of the 10-day London 2017 World Championships, is set for 2:55pm Jamaica time.
Both Williams-Mills and Jackson, along with Stephenie Ann McPherson, who ran the heats, and Christine Day combined to win at the last Championships in Beijing, China – 2015.
Chrisann Gordon and Anniesha McLaughlin-Whilby, who replaced McPherson at the last minute for the final, are the other members of the team.
Team United States with Quanera Hayes, Allyson Felix, Shakima Wimbley and Phyllis Francis, in that order, is the favorite for gold.
France, Poland, Great Britain, Nigeria, Botswana and Germany are the other teams in the final.
Trinidad and Tobago with Jarrin Solomon, Jereem Richards, the 200m bronze medallist, Machel Cedenio and Lalonde Gordon will be the only Caribbean team in the men’s 4x400m final.
France, Great Britain, USA, Poland, Spain, Cuba and Belgium are the other teams in the final.
