LONDON – World 100m hurdles record holder Kendra Harrison (USA), who ran 12.74 for fourth in the London 2017 World Championships final, is not disappointed with her performance.
“I’m still young – this was my first world final. People forget that because I’m the world record holder,” said Harrison.
“They expect me to be winning all the time but I’m pleased to be in my first world final and have learned a lot,” she added.
Australian Sally Pearson topped the field in 12.59 ahead of American Dawn Harper Nelson, 12.63 and German Pamela Dutkiewicz, 12.72.
Harrison continued: “I’ve run so well here in the past but I’ve just got to leave that in the past. I can’t dwell on it. I have so much potential, so I can’t get too upset about one performance. I got a world record in this stadium so early in my career so I know I will come back stronger.”
