Jamaican Gleneve Grange was voted ACC Outdoor women’s field performer of the week.
Discus throwers Gleneve Grange left a lasting impression in her first outdoor competition for Florida State, winning the discus Friday in dramatic fashion. With a lifetime-best on her sixth and final attempt, Grange beat teammate and fellow Jamaican Kellion Knibb – the three-time defending ACC champion and 2016 NCAA runner-up – with a throw of 56.16 meters (184-3).
That stands as the leading mark in the nation thus far, and No. 2 all-time among Seminoles. Knibb was the runner-up at 55.65m (182-7), which is the No. 2 mark nationally.
