HTC Bolt launched in USA

HTC has today announced its new smartphone — HTC Bolt. At the moment, the phone is exclusive to Sprint’s network. The phone’s name comes from Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, who has been roped in for the promotion of this smartphone (Video Below).

With Usain Bolt promoting the smartphone, the network wants to highlight its network technology. Sprint’s network is said to provide faster download speeds than other networks. This is the first device to support Sprint’s LTE Plus three-channel carrier aggregation. It is already live in Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, Cleveland, and Columbus.

The phone comes with a 5.5 inch Quad HD Super LCD 3 display with curved-edge Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor, which is quite disappointing as its successor — Snapdragon 820 is now available. The handset also packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

On the imaging front, the device features a 16MP camera on the back with OIS, Phase-detect autofocus(PDAF), and a f/2.0 aperture and 28mm focal length lens. On the front, it has an 8MP camera with support for auto HDR and super-wide panorama mode.
