A Jamaica Select team established a new men’s 4x200m at Saturday’s Armory Invitational Indoor meet in New York.
The Jamaican team of Kevin Thompson, Romel Lewis, Ryan Lawrence and Rushane Scott topped the 6-team field in 1:25.69. Dalton Evans was charged with the responsible of assembling a team, which was prepared by former Jamaican quarter-miler Sanjay Ayre.
Louis Grant played a management role.
USA finished second in 1:26.33 and Dominican Republic third in 1:26.44.
Guyana 1:27.82, Trinidad & Tobago 1:29.13 and France 1:29.41 were the other teams to compete in the event.
Meanwhile, Kemoy Campbell, representing New Balance, topped the men’s 3,000m in 7:55.01.
He beat Jose Stilin, who represented Zap Fitness, 8:00.32 and Mavertick Darling of Saucony 8:01.72.
Natoya Goule, representing Adidas, ran 2:04.21 for 4th in the women’s 800m. Ajee Wilson, also representing Adidas, won the event in 2:02.15.
Jamaican Kimarra McDonald finished 8th in 2:07.52
