MANHATTAN, USA – Justin Gatlin has described his loss to Usain Bolt in the 100m final at Beijing 2015 as the toughest loss of his career.
“I feel like I let myself down,” the US sprinter told NBC.
Gatlin, who was the fastest man in 2014 and 2015, lost both 100m and 200m to Bolt at the Beijijg World Championships.
“It wasn’t about getting beat by Usain. It wasn’t about being one of the slowest times I ran of the season.
“I didn’t do what I was doing all season long," said the 2015 sprint double silver medallist.
