Garth Gayle was elected to the IAAF Technical committee on Wednesday at the 119th IAAF Congress in Beijing, China.
Gayle, the general secretary of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA), will serve four years. He got 73 votes in the second round to be one of 12 representatives on the committee.
He was earlier this month elected to the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) council.
