Usain Bolt is not sure if he will run at the Jamaica Championships in two weeks time. The sprint double World Championships winner from Moscow, 2013, has a bye into the Beijing event – August 22-28 (Video Interview below).
The world's fastest was speaking at the meet's press conference in New York at Saturday’s (June 13) IAAF Diamond League/Adidas event, where he will run the 200m.
Asked about participating in the Jamaica Trials set for June 25-28, Bolt replied, “I don’t know. I think my coach will determine for this weekend, if I will run at the National Trials,” he admitted.
Saturday, at 2:54pm local time, he will be up against fellow Jamaicans Rasheed Dwyer and Julian Forte, along with Zharnel Hughes of Anguilla in the men’s 200m. Also in the field will be Americans Terrel Cotton and Charles Silmon and global medallist, Alonso Edward of Panama.
“We will see what happens after this one, if he needs me to work on anything or if I just need to get (more) runs in. He will determine that,” added Bolt.
