Sports and good food are just two of the most precious things that touch the lives of people.
In sports, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, world’s fastest woman, has been touching many lives since she first conquered the world in 2008.
It was then that she struck gold at the Beijing Olympic Games and again at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin. By this time, she had become an inspiration to many.
It did not end there, as in London 2012, she repeated her Olympic Games 100m success, becoming only the third woman in history, to do so. In 2013 it only got sweeter at the World Championships in Moscow, when she gold-medalled in both 100 and 200m.
Now in 2015, the year when she returns to Beijing to defend her World Championships sprint double, Fraser-Pryce is again touching the lives of many, but this time with food.
Shelly’s CAFÉ is a priceless move. She wrote on her Facebook page “Hectic schedule for SFP the athlete and entrepreneur.”
Shelly’s CAFÉ on UTech’s campus described itself as “the ultimate on Campus, Sports Lounge serving up hot/cold beverages with great food and wifi.”
Daina Parchment gave Shelly’s CAFÉ a “5 star!!” rating.
“Went there today and experience sell off, smiling employees, positive messages on the walls, and last but not least CHOCOLATE TEA instead of hot chocolate,” Parchment's message read.
Floyd Francis, who gave it similar rating, said: “Very comfortable and the waiting time is reasonable. The food is simply great especially because it’s healthy. Gonna be visiting here often and invite my crew there too. "Unuh ago tired fi see me face" LOL
Shelly’s CAFÉ opened its doors on April 21.
