SHANGHAI, China – Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Veronica Campbell-Brown will compete in the 100m at the Shanghai Diamond League on May 17.
The Jamaican sprinters have won 5 Olympic Games gold medals between them, with Fraser Pryce taking back-to-back 100m titles in Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
The current head-to-head over 100m between SAFP and VCB is 8:7 in favour of the former.
They will be joined in the field by Nigerian double World Championships medallist Blessing Okagbare, who ran faster than the Jamaican pair last year and returns to the Chinese city one year after winning the 200m and long jump.
In the men’s 110mH, world record holder and Olympic champion Aries Merritt will face fellow US athletes David Oliver, the world champion; and Ryan Wilson, as well as Russia’s European champion Sergey Shubenkov and China's Xie Wenjun, who won here last year.
