ATHLONE, Ireland – Jamaican Asafa Powell is one of the top names scheduled for the 2nd AIT International Indoor meet in Athlone, Ireland on Wednesday (18 February).
Powell is down to face the starter in the men’s 60m.
In women 60m, two members of USA’s Olympic gold medal 4x100m relay team – Tianna Bartoletta and Carmelita Jeter – will face-off.
Top British 400m runners (Levine, Bowie, Lennon-Ford, Dunn) are entered against US Manteo Mitchell.
Eric Sowinski of USA is the 800m favorite while Qatari high jump World indoor champion Mutaz Essa Barshim is the top star in that event.
