ATHLONE, Ireland – Former 100 metre world record holder Asafa Powell pulled out of Wednesday night's (18 Feb) AIT International Indoor meet.
According to information reaching TrackAlerts.Com, Powell suffered a groin injury during warm-up for his 60m race.
At Tuesday's meet press conference, Powell told journalists: “I don’t think I’m past my best, and definitely feel I can run as fast again."
"If I keep doing the same things I was doing at 21. I still feel strong. But of course, Usain is definitely still the man to beat,” says Powell.
