Bolt wins 100m in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil – Usain Bolt won the men's 100m at the Mano a Mano 100m on a specially constructed track on Leme Beach here on Sunday.

Bolt, in his first individual race of 2014, took the event in 10.06 (-0.9) ahead of Britain's Mark Lewis Francis (10.42), Jefferson Lucindo of Brazil (10.44) and Wallace Spearmon (10.45), who announced on his twitter that he will undergo surgery in the next 2 weeks. 

After the race Bolt commented that he felt “sluggish” and had a poor start. He said that he expects to run faster in his next races. 

His next race is scheduled for Saturday August 23 in Warszawa, Poland at 5th Kamila Skolimowska Memorial. 
Brazil’s Rosangela Santos won the women's race in 11.33 (0.6), beating Jamaica’s Schillonie Calvert (11.35) and Carmelita Jeter (11.38).
