Fraser-Pryce, VCB in 60m semis at World Indoor Champs

Defending champion Veronica Campbell-Brown and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, on Saturday morning, booked semi-final places in the women's 60m at the World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland (Click for Vidoes).

Campbell-Brown, who was running her first race in over eight months, qualified for the semi-finals with 7.22 for 3rd place in heat 4. 

Fraser-Pryce, in heat 2, raced to an easy 7.12 victory ahead of Tahesia Harrigan-Scott of British Virgin Islands who is also through to the semis with 7.20 seconds.

Sheniqua Ferguson of Bahamas qualified as one of the fastest losers with 7.31, while Michelle-Lee Ahye secured her place in 7.14 for 2nd in her heat. 

Andrew Riley got through to the semi-finals of the men's 60m hurdles in 7.66. He was 3rd in his heat

Meanwhile, the day was highlighted by Jamaica's 4×4 quartet of Verone Chambers, Anneisha McLaughlin, Natoya Goule and Stephenie McPherson with a National Indoor Record of 3:29.43 to finish 2nd behind USA 3:29.06, World Leading time.

In the men's 4×4, Jamaica with Errol Nolan, Allodin Fothergill, Dane Hyatt and Jermaine Brown ran 3:06.12 for second behind USA 3:04.36.
