Russia making progress says Coe

MOSCOW, Russia – IAAF president Sebastian Coe has said the All-Russia Athletics Federation is making progress in meeting the criteria set by the governing body after their suspension in November 2015, informs Sport Express.

“The first thing I did after the suspension of the membership of the VFLA was to create an independent group, led by the Norwegian anti-doping expert Rune Andersen,” said the IAAF president.

“Five criteria were defined. I do not know when the VFLA will be rebuilt, but I can definitely say that there are things that give me confidence in the last few months. It can be concluded that there is progress,” he said.
