Commonwealth Games 400m hurdles champion Kaliese Spencer is among two Jamaicans athletes to commit Anti Doping violations, according to the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO).

Spencer, the 2006 World Junior champion over 400m hurdles, is alleged to have violated article 2.3 of the said anti-doping rules.

Riker Hylton, who was a member of Jamaica’s team that won bronze in the 4x400m at the Daegu World Championships, is charged with a similar offence.

According to the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association (JAAA) in a release, they have been “advised by JADCO that athletes Kaliese Spencer and Riker Hylton have been referred to the Independent Anti Doping Disciplinary Panel for a hearing to be conducted in accordance with Article 8 of the JADCO Anti-doping Rules 2015.

“Both athletes are alleged to have violated article 2.3 of the said rules which speaks to “Evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection,” the JAAA release started.

The release ended by saying, “as the matter is now before the Disciplinary Panel we will not be commenting any further on the matter.”
