The programme to develop young athletes attached to the Racers Track Club will be further advanced as the Club is set to benefit from the proceeds of a Charity Dinner and Auction in London, to be hosted by The Voice newspaper and The Jamaica National Group in July.

Paulette Simpson, Director of The Voice in the UK , said that the event was one of the activities planned in celebration of the newspaper’s 35th anniversary.

“This charity event is being held ahead of the IAAF World Championships in Athletics in August,” Miss Simpson stated, “where Usain Bolt will be participating in his final international competition. This dinner, therefore, presents The Voice and The Jamaica National Group with the opportunity to recognise the achievements of Coach Glen Mills and Usain Bolt and to honour their contribution to the international success of Jamaican athletes.”
