BEIJING, China – Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica both qualified for the final of the men’s 4×400 metres relay after Saturday mornings heats here at the World Championships on Saturday.

The two qualified from the same heat, while the Bahamas was disqualified from the other.

Trinidad and Tobago pipped Jamaica on the line for the second position in the heat, which was won by the United States of America. The United States did 2:58.13 seconds, with Trinidad and Tobago doing 2:58.67 and Jamaica 2:58.69. All three qualified automatically for the final with Cuba getting through on time as the ended in 2:59.80. The Dominican Republic was sixth in 3:00.15.
