The women’s 400m hurdles final at the 2016 Supreme Ventures Jamaica Championships was a cracker, which saw Ristananna Tracey emerging as National champion.
Tracey’s time of 54.75 second took her across the line ahead of Leah Nugent, 55.44 and the story of the event, many time Diamond League winner and World Championship finalist, Keliese Spencer, finishing third, in a time of 55.83 seconds.
Of note Is the fact that Keliese Spencer may not make the team, as Jenieve Russell who has the fastest time in the world this year, can still be added to the team, once she proves her fitness.
Russell applied for medical exemption ahead of the meet, as she picked up an injury.
