Tokyo 2020, organisers of the Games of the XXXII Olympiad, said ticket refunds are unlikely if the event is cancelled or postponed.
According to the Asahi Shimbun, organisers cited the terms and conditions attached to the tickets.
“Tokyo 2020 shall not be liable for any failure to perform any obligation under the Terms and Conditions to the extent that the failure is caused by a Force Majeure,” which includes a public health emergency.
