Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson will face-off with Dafne Schippers, the 2015 World 200m champion, at Friday’s (5 May) Doha Diamond League opener.
Thompson is in excellent early season shape and it showed with a slightly winded 10.75secs in Kingston three weeks ago, followed up with two impressive anchor legs, on Jamaica’s 4x200m team at the World Relays in Bahamas and again in the one lap relay at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia.
