Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce hinted her first-round run was ‘easy’ and the aim, as always is to progress.
On Saturday’s second day (28 Sept) of the 17th IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019, Fraser-Pryce ran the fastest ever first-round time of 10.80 to secure her place in the semi-finals of the women’s 100m.
“It’s just to progress as easy as possible throughout each round, and I’m glad I was able to do that,” said Fraser-Pryce, 2009, 2013 and 2015 champion.
“I feel good to be able to execute and making sure I get to the next round because that is always the aim at these championships,” she added.
