Athletics Canada unveiled the team of four men and four women who will represent Canada at the 2020 IAAF World Athletics Half Marathon Championships, which will take place in Gdynia, Poland on March 29th.

The women’s team is led by newly-minted Canadian record holder in the half marathon, Andrea Seccafien who clocked 69:38 at the Kagawa Marugame International Half Marathon in Japan last month.

She is joined by Rachel Cliff and Victoria Coates. The fourth member of the women’s team will be confirmed shortly, and the team list updated accordingly.

Rory Linkletter comes into Worlds with a personal best time of 61:44, which is the second-fastest time in Canadian half-marathon history.

He will be joined on the start line for the men’s race in Kosciuszko Square by Thomas Toth, Trevor Hofbauer and Benjamin Preisner.
