Former World and Olympic Games champion over 400m hurdles, Melaine Walker, has entered for the sprint hurdles event at next week (25-28 June) Jamaica Senior Championships.

Walker, who won the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008 and 2009 World Championships in Berlin, has not dominate since.

According to the registration list sent by the JAAA, Walker is listed for the 100m hurdles at the trials.

Meanwhile, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Elaine Thompson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce are down for the women’s 100m/200m double.  Sherone Simpson and Kerron Stewart will do likewise.

Rising star Shericka Jackson will run the 400m, the same event, which Kaliese Spencer will take on. Spencer is qualified for her top world-ranked event, the 400m hurdles as the Diamond League winner.

Simone Facey will run only the women's 200m while Stephenie-Ann McPherson is listed for the 200/400m double.

Aisha Praught will try to make her first Jamaican team in the women's 1500m.

 Notable absentee from the list sent by the JAAA is Nikita Tracey from the women's 400m hurdles.
