Former Alabama track athlete LaTasha Pharr will be inducted into the North Carolina High School Track & Field and Cross Country Hall of Fame.

Pharr had an impressive high school career at North Rowan High School in Spencer, North Carolina, and was a two-time high school All-American, two-time Gatorade Athlete of the Year, and a 17-time state champion.
She led her high school team to four state titles, including one indoor and three outdoor championships. Pharr continued her success at the University of Alabama, where she earned All-America honors in the triple jump in 2005 and won SEC Championship silver medals in the triple jump in 2005 and 2004 and bronze medals in the triple jump in 2002 and the long jump in 2004.
She still holds the second-best marks in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump in Alabama’s program history.
In addition to her success in the triple jump, Pharr also excelled in hurdles. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in business management.
Pharr will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on January 28, 2023.
