LONDON – AP informs that WADA is taking a cautious approach to a proposal that it should take over responsibility for doping testing from sports federations.

WADA President Craig Reedie told The Associated Press on Monday that he will submit the issue for discussion at the agency's executive committee and foundation board meeting on November 17-18 in Colorado Springs.

The proposal came out of the blue to some participants at the Olympic Summit on Saturday in Lausanne. It followed a presentation by IAAF President Sebastian Coe of his idea for an independent body to handle-testing in athletics.
