Hyde, who won Saturday's 400m hurdles in 49.78, topped the 110m hurdles field today (Mar 8) in 13.22.

The Wolmer’s sixth form student expressed satisfaction with the result.

“I came hard, I came to run below 13.5 and I achieved that, so I am happy,” said Hyde, who is also the World Junior champion over 400m hurdles.

Hyde's 13.24 mark is better than the Champs Class 1 record of 13.24 set in 2013 by Omar McLeod of KC.

Seanie Selvin of Calabar finished 2nd in 13.42 and Marvin Williams of STETHS, third in 13.68.

In the Under-18 110m hurdles final, Jordan Roberts of Jamaica College (JC) took the top spot in 13.84 ahead of Kingston College’s (KC) Chadrick Brown 14.10.

Alex Robinson of Calabar was third in 14.51.
