Bulgarian Ivet Lalova won the sprint double at a small meeting in Rieti, Italy on Thursday (23 July).
Lalova won the women’s 100m in 11.31 ahead of Italian pair Gloria Hooper, 11.35 and Chiara Gala, 11.81.
In the 200m, Lalova topped the field in 23.24, again beating Hooper, 23.27. Anna Bongiorni, also of Italy, finished third in 23.31.
Giulia Latini topped the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.69.
Filippo Randazzo of Italy ran 10.32 to win the men’s 100m ahead of Peter Peev of Bulgaria, 10.50 and Italian Nicholas Artuso, 10.55.
Thomas Manfredi of Italy, 21.21 took top honours in the men’s 200m. He won ahead of Peev, 21.29 and Mario Di Giambattista, 21.34.
Osaremen Ozigbo of Nigeria was the men’s 400m winner. He ran 47.30 to beat Emanuele Grossi, 47.86.
Mattua Contini, 51.51 took the men’s 400m hurdles and Max Mandusic, 5.30m, the men’s pole vault.
