Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was in top form on the weekend at the sixth Velocity Fest meet at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Fraser-Pryce, Doha 2019 World champion, ran a sizzling 10.86 seconds to win the women’s 100m dash. The mark lowered her previous world-leading time of 10.87, done at the meet 4 on August 8.

Elaine Thompson, who ran 10.88 at the previous meet, produced another sub-11, 10.92 to win heat 2 and took second place overall.

Srabani Nanda, 11.60, Megan Tapper, 11.82 and Melaine Walker, 12.85 were the other finishers.

Anthonique Strachan did not finish.

Yohan Blake won the men’s 100m. He ran 10.15 seconds to beat Ramone Barnswell, 10.46 and Nigel Ellis, 10.51.
