TORONTO – Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and American Kendra Harrison are among the top names for this weekend’s (Aug 10-12) NACAC Championships.

Twice Olympic 100m winner Fraser Pryce hopes to return to top form in the 100m as she takes on Trinidad and Tobago’s Michelle-Lee Ahye and American Jenna Prandini.

World 100m hurdles record-holder Harrison goes up against compatriot Queen Harrison and Jamaica’s Yanique Thompson.

World indoor pole champion Sandi Morris and men’s world pole vault No.1 Shawn Barber are also down to compete.

Facing Echevarria will be Americans Jeff Henderson and Marquis Dendy. Against Morris will be another American Katie Nageotte, Cuba’s Yarisley Silva and Canadian Alysha Newman.

Darrell Hill is favourite for the men’s shot where he faces Tim Nedow and Jamaica’s O’Dayne Richards.

Canadian Aaron Brown and Trinidad and Tobago’s Jereem Richards will be hoping for sub-20 in the 200m, while Canada’s Gavin Smellie races Americans Cameron Burrell and Kendal Williams over 100m.

Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson headlines the 200m, while the one-lap sees Courtney Okolo up against Stephanie Ann McPherson.

Cuba’s Rosemary Almanza, Jamaica’s Commonwealth champion Natoya Goule and USA’s Ajee Wilson are lined up for the 800m.

In the 400m hurdles, Commonwealth winner Janieve Russell meets American Shamier Little and Canada’s Sage Watson.

Former world champion Donald Thomas of Bahamas and Commonwealth champions Christabel Nettey (long jump), Hansle Parchment (110m hurdles) and Fedrick Dacres (discus) are also set to be in action.
