Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will open her season at Saturday’s (23 April) Velocity Fest 11, a World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger Series Meet. The event is set for the National Stadium in Kingston.

Fraser-Pryce, the reigning world 100m champion, will run her first race over 200m.
Also listed for the women’s half-lap are fellow Jamaicans Shericka Jackson, Stephenie-Ann McPherson, Natasha Morrison, Roneisha McGregor and Shashalee Forbes.
Bahamian Anthonique Strachan Strachan and Great Britain Chanel Honeywell are also listed to compete in the women’s 200m.
