Javon Francis won the men’s 400m dash at Saturday’s (21 Feb) SW Isaac Henry Invitational held at the National Stadium in Kingston.
Akan’s Francis topped the field in 46.60 seconds, ahead of Oral Thompson of Cameron Blazers 47.02 and Marzel Miller of GC Foster College 47.53.
Zharnel Hughes of the IAAF High Performance Centre did 48.01 for 6th place while Jason Livermore of Akan finished 11th in 49.00.
In the women’s 400m, Samantha Curtis of GC Foster ran 54.10 and Ristananna Tracey of Racers 54.38.
Kington College (KC) warmed up for next weekend’s Gibson/McCook Relays by topping the 4x800m in 7:35.80 ahead of GC Foster College 7:38.42 and Jamaica College (JC) 7:49.26.
