Kamaria Durant wins double at Aliann Pompey Invitational

Kamaria Durant won the sprint double at the Aliann Pompey Invitational held in Guyana on July 6.

Kamaria Durant of Trinidad and Tobago won the women’s 100m dash in 11.39 ahead of her compatriot Reyare Thomas, 11.53.

Durant returned to take the 200m in 23.21, again ahead of Thomas, 23.82.

Guyanese Jasmine Abrams finished third in both event, running 11.62 and 23.95.

Jamaican Russell Clayton topped the women’s 400m hurdles in 55.25 ahead of Bahamian Katrina Seymour, 59.39.

Joseph Amoah of Ghana won the men’s 100m dash in 10.20 ahead of Emmanuel Archibald of Guyana 10.33.

Winston George, who was third in the men’s 100m in 10.40, topped the 200m in 20.75 ahead of fellow Guyanese Daniel Williams, 21.10.

Arinze Chance of Guyana was the men’s 400m winner in 46.14

The women’s 400m dash went to Aliyah Abrams in 52.16 ahead of Jamaican Candice McLeod, 52.28.
