James Dasaolu became the British Indoor Champion for 2014 in Sheffield, retaining the title he won last year.
The British sprinter looks in fine form, equaling his 6.50 time posted in his season opener in Glasgow. The time was only 0.01 seconds off the Stadium record.
“I am really proud to retain the British Indoor title. I’m also fairly happy with the time,” said James who won silver in the European Indoors in Gothenberg.
“I got a slow start in the final so I felt I was always chasing. But that just means that I can go quicker.”
“I am really looking forward to Birmingham next week and then Sopot for the World Indoors in March.”
The qualifying time for the Indoors is 6.65 so James’ time means that he already has the required standard.
