PARIS, France: Christian Coleman will face joint European record-holder Jimmy Vicaut over 100m in the Paris Diamond League on 30 June.

 

Vicaut opened his season with a promising 10.00s flat at the French Interclubs Championships.

Olympic 200m bronze medallist Christophe Lemaitre will take on world-leader Clarence Munyai from South Africa over 200m while Marie-Josee Ta Lou is confirmed for the women’s 200m.

No Paris Diamond League, but Laura Muir will be a vet soon

LONDON, Great Britain: Double world indoor medallist Laura Muir, who has famously been combining training with studying to be a vet, has passed her final qualification exams.
The British middle-distance runner tweeted: “I PASSED MY FINALS!!! I’m going to be a VET!!!”

KIL, Swedeen: 2004 Olympic high jump champion Stefan Holm will come out of retirement to take on his 13-year-old son, Melwin Holm-Lycke, who has jumped 1.98m, in Kil, Sweden, on 2 June at the meeting named after him.

The 41-year-old says he usually jumps a bit higher than Melwin in training.

BERLIN, Germany: Robert Harting, the 2012 Olympic discus champion, will compete for the last time before retirement at the ISTAF Meeting in Berlin on September 2, the German has confirmed.

He has competed at the meeting eight times already. The meeting has also been named as the farewell meeting of sprinter Kim Collins, according to leichtathletik.de.
