Sebastian Coe - Seb Coe meets with Taylor
Sebastian Coe - World Athletics President

World Athletics president Seb Coe is to meet with Olympic triple jump champion Christian Taylor following the launch of a global athlete group.

Taylor, whose event is one of those dropped from the Diamond League programme, has said Coe has agreed to discuss the matter with him.

“Yes, I called him immediately after he announced on social media the creation of the association. Voice of the athletes is our priority, an open dialogue is always something I want to do,” said Coe at a press conference in Slovakia last weekend.

Also, a wider discussion with athletes present is planned for the Athletes Forum on Friday evening.

  1. Kindly to make athletics lively, you should look for ways to increase the number of events but not cutting the number of events. We need like Olympic to run for a month not just 10 days.
