Christian Coleman wins US Trials - Seiko Golden Grand Prix - for New York Grand Prix

The Michael Johnson Invitational at Baylor University is set to be a star-studded affair, with some of the world’s top athletes set to compete on April 21-22. Among the many talented entries are world co-leader Christian Coleman and Abby Steiner, who is currently in top form.

The two athletes will be competing in the 200-meter event, where they are expected to put on a show for fans.

In addition to the 200-meter race, Steiner is also scheduled to compete in the 100m race. She will be up against some tough competition, including former 400-meter world champion Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain. Naser is returning from a 2-year doping ban that expired on February 18, 2023, and is eager to make a comeback in the sport.

Anavia Battle and Ashanti Moore of Jamaica are also among the contenders in the 100-meter event. The 200-meter event will also feature some talented athletes, such as Nigeria’s Rosemary Chukwuma and Lynna Irby-Jackson, who is a specialist in the 400-meter event.

These athletes are expected to give Coleman and Steiner a run for their money in what is sure to be an exciting race.

Meanwhile, the men’s 100-meter start list is led by Emmanuel Matadi of Liberia and 38-year-old Michael Rodgers. Both athletes have a wealth of experience in the sport and are expected to put on a thrilling display of speed and skill.
