Five BVI athletes will be among 800 from 42 countries competing in the inaugural IAAF World Relays in Nassau, Bahamas, May 24-25. The BVI is fielding a Women's 4 x 100m Relay team in the competition.
The team coached by Winston Potter, includes Chantel Malone, Ashley Kelly, Karene King, Tahesai Harrigan-Scott and Nelda Huggins. There are 24 teams in the 4x100m Relay with the top eight automatically advancing to next year's IAAF World Championships in Beijing, China.
The BVI Athletics Association thanks Sports Minister Hon. Myron Walwyn for his assistance in getting the team to this event.
