MONACO – Usain Bolt and Dafne Schippers are the sprint candidates for the 2015 IAAF World Athlete of the Year award, inform IAAF.
Male and female athletes from sprints, hurdles, middle and long distance, road running, race walking, jumps, throws, combined events and multi-terrain will be longlisted for the award.
An international panel of 10 experts will then select the finalists – three men and three women – the names of whom will be announced on November 17 and 18.
The results of the IAAF Family’s vote for the other categories will be announced over the coming days. The winner will be announced at the IAF World Athletics Gala on Saturday November 28.
