LONDON (eme news) – Usain Bolt will contest the 200m at the London Anniversary Games (IAAF Diamond League) on 22 July, informs organisers.

“The London Anniversary Games will be one of my last races before Rio and running in the 200m will hopefully set me up for a successful Olympic Games,” he said.

Bolt will face three of Britain’s top sprinters: European champion Adam Gemili, world finalist Zharnel Hughes and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake (formerly of Jamaica College), who is the second fastest Brit of all-time at 19.95 and will debut at such level of meet.

Bolt hasn’t contested a 200m since he defended his Olympic title on this track four years ago but should run the distance at Jamaican trials end of the month.

The Olympic Stadium will play host to the prestigious IAAF Diamond League meet on 22-23 July, the IPC Grand Prix Final will also be incorporated into Saturday’s programme
