Camperdown Classic will mark its 10th year February 8, 2014 and the organizers promised to recognize in a special way those who contributed over the years.
The organizers said every athlete, official and coach will leave with some token or gift to remember the 10th year. There will also be special gifts for the winners of the 10 100m events (Classes 1-4 and male and female open).
Also, Cynthia Cooke chairman of the organizing committee, said "the schools who have been with the meet for the 10 years will receive gift vouchers, the coaches and officials will receive memorabilia."
The former Camperdown High principal also said "we have special 10th staging trophies for the winners of all events and special medals for the runners up.
Again $60,000 will go to the winners of the Class one sprint relays, $25,000 for second place and $15,000 for third.
All members of Racers Track Club, including Usain Bolt, Warren Weir and Yohan Blake, are expected to be on show.
"All who are fit and able will participate in this event," she added while disclosing that "24 schools have already entered and more are expected."
All entries will be done on-line and the closing date is February 3.
The organizers also said the Stadium East field will be used for warm-up and the meet will be streamed LIVE on CamperdownClassic.com.
