LAUSANNE – World champion and World leader Mutaz Essa Barshim will miss the Athletissima High Jump due to twisted foot and ankle.
It happened during his last jump on Monday (July 2) in Hungary.
“He is recommended to rest for a few weeks. No need to push something at this point of the season,” said his agent Daniel Wessfeldt.
Now with Barshim out
The field still has top names and is headed by World Indoor Champion Danil Lysenko along with other World medalists Majd Edin Ghazal and in-shape Brandon Starc with Donald Thomas.
