World 100m champion denied access to training center

World 100m champion Tori Bowie was refused access to train at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.

According to Bowie in a tweet, her access to the facility was denied because “I haven’t paid $6000 that I didn’t even know I owed”

Bowie won 100m silver, 200m bronze and helped the USA to the 4x100m title at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The London 2017 100m and 4x100m gold medallist said she was hoping to train in California for a year.

I know I’m frustrated,” she said. “I came here to Cali (California) with the impression that I could train here for a year and today when I arrived they asked me to remove my things from the room.”
