Over 60 women took part in WALA Seminar

The 8th Women Athletics Leaders of the Americas (WALA) Seminar ended in Puerto Rico on Sunday (18 November 2018).

Over 60 women from 30 countries, included Jamaican Olympians Vilma Charlton and Deon Hemmings McCatty, attended the event.

A ‘summary of the meetings of the TASK FORCE for Gender Equity and equality in Bahrain, Birmingham and Lebanon’ was presented. The group also heard a summary of the IAAF priorities in the new Olympic cycle 2016-2019.

To enhance WALA Strategic Plan was also discussed along with strategies for the elections process in the IAAF 2019.
