Kelly on the double, Gordon takes 300m at ATI

British Virgin Islands’ (BVI) Ashley Kelly was a double winner at the Armory Track Invitational held in New York on Saturday (4 Feb).

Kelly, representing CPTC New Balance, won the women’s 60m Developmental dash in 7.55 and returned to take the 300m in 38.99.

L’t’sha Fahie of Sprint Tech BVI was second in the 60m in 7.56 while Jamaican Shavine Hodges, representing Armoryyouth, ended third in 7.56.

Trinidad and Tobago London 2012 Olympic Games 400m bronze medallist, Lalonde Gordon, was timed in 32.37 for the top men’s 300m spot. Guyanese Winston George, representing of CPTC New Balance, finished third in 33.92.

Jamaican Venicha Baker, also representing Armoryyouth, won the 200m in 24.23 ahead of Rashan Brown of Oxy Athletics, 24.44.

Jamaica’s 4x200m with Baker, Yanique Ellington, Ladonna Richards and Hodges, combined for 1:37.80 to win the women’s 4x200m Division 4 event. BVI finished third in 1:38.52
